US-based technology giant Google shared a new post on its website for the Android operating system. This post reveals what new features will be introduced to the Android ecosystem over the summer. According to the statements made by Google, users in our country will have the opportunity to access one of these features as of today.
According to Google, the Android ecosystem will have 6 new features over the course of this summer. These features are; earthquake warning system, starry messages, suggested emojis in messages, doing more with voice command, more functional Vice Access and improved Android Auto. So what benefits will these features provide to users in the Android ecosystem?
Earthquake warning system
The earthquake warning system, which was launched in New Zealand and Greece a while ago, is one of Google's newest technologies. Thanks to the built-in sensors of the phones, this feature, which can detect earthquake waves even seconds ago, allows users to be warned a few seconds before the earthquake. This feature can also be used in Turkey as of today.
Starred messages
Starred messages are actually one of the features that many users use in instant messaging applications such as WhatsApp. The feature where you can add a star to an incoming message makes it easy to access these messages later. According to Google, the starred messages feature will spread across the world in the coming weeks.
Suggested emojis
Google's artificial intelligence will learn the emojis that users use while messaging, and then suggest these emojis to users. The feature, which can be used on Android 6.0 and above devices, is currently only capable of deep learning for messages written in English, Spanish and Portuguese. Although Google has said that they will expand the scope of the proposed emoji feature, it is not clear when this will happen.
Improved voice command
Google has also improved the voice command system, which has already been available for a long time. Triggered by the "Hey Google" command, the assistant can now do everything from running an app to querying a user-related information.
Improved Voice Access
Developed for consumers who have difficulty using their smartphones with their hands, Voice Access will be able to be operated just by looking when updated. Thus, users will not need to give any voice commands in order to run Voice Access. The phone will activate the Voice Access the moment it sees the user's face.
Improved Android Auto
Google engineers, who also made significant improvements on Android Auto, are now enabling the application to be connected to vehicles much easier. In addition, the button named A to Z now makes it much easier to access the features of Android Auto. On the other hand, a user will now be able to use various messaging applications such as WhatsApp or Messages much more comfortably while using Android Auto.
