A citizen living in Samsun has been collecting cell phones for 25 years . There are many devices in the collection.
Adnan Alparslan , who ran a mechanic shop , collected 850 mobile phones by spending 35,000 TL. In his statement, Adnan Alparslan emphasized that he wants the youth to see the mobile phones used in the past and said:
"Over time, this collection was created. Citizens started bringing a co-friendly phone, and I thought it might be a collection. I wanted the young people to see the mobile phones used in the past and compare the technology with the technology of that time. I spent about 35 thousand liras for this collection. In fact, I still buy phones, there are 850 mobile phones in the collection, but I have a few missing pieces, I am trying to find them too.
The first mobile phone used in the world's first mobile phone used in Turkey, the world's heaviest mobile phone available in the collection and the first touchscreen mobile phone. When the citizens coming to the shop see these phones, how different a mobile phone reacts with a smile as to how they used it. 90 percent of old mobile phones are in this collection. Each of these phones we bought has different stories. About 20 years ago, we were renting these phones.
The vast majority of our customers were soldiers. About 100 soldiers would line up in front of the shop to rent a cell phone. On the weekends, they would take their mobile phones and talk to their families and loved ones. This collection is very valuable to me and I never think of selling it. Many people asked for this collection, but I did not. My goal is to accumulate more and create a more beautiful collection "
