Apple has announced that it is delaying the Universal Control feature, which allows multiple devices to be controlled with just a keyboard and mouse. The feature, which facilitates data transfer between products such as iPad and MacBook, will be available at a later period, not with macOS 12 Monterey, which will be released on October 25.
US-based technology giant Apple announced a new feature called "Universal Control" as part of WWDC 2021 events. This feature enables multiple devices to be controlled with a single keyboard and mouse, thus enabling easy data transfer between an iPad and a MacBook, for example. The company had previously announced that this feature would be released with macOS 12 Monterey.
However, recent developments reveal that the Universal Control feature will be delayed. Because the company, which made an update on the website of macOS 12 Monterey, announced that the feature will be available in a later period. In other words, users will not be able to meet this feature in the first stable version of macOS 12 Monterey, which will be released on October 25.
The reason for the delay was not disclosed. As a matter of fact, Universal Control was not something users heard for the first time this year. The company has been known to be working on this feature for at least a few years. However, it seems that Apple could not get things right and decided to delay the Universal Control feature. Apple did not give an explanation as to why there was such a delay.
Apple's macOS 12 Monterey update is not just about the Universal Control feature. With its efforts, the company will present a brand new Safari, a renewed Focus Mode and many other innovations to the users. So, on which computer models will this operating system update be available? Here is the answer to that question...
