However, John Moran convinced the shopkeeper that the computer could work and make a profit by selling it with monitors, keyboards and power supplies.

This Apple-1 unit, which will be auctioned, has the distinction of being one of the 60 units that currently exist and the 20 that are still operating. The auction house announced that the model has successfully passed a detailed restoration and evaluation process. The Apple-1 is on sale with a Panasonic video monitor, an Apple-1 manual and a copy of the user's manual, an original programming manual, two Apple-1 software cassettes and three original video, power, cassette interface cables.
