Apple has announced that the headset and charging adapter will be removed from the box of all iPhone models to be sold as of October 13.
Apple introduced the iPhone 12 models with the event it held recently and announced that the charging adapter and the headset will be removed from the box of these models. As a matter of fact, a similar situation applies to the models that Apple currently continues to sell - iPhone 11, iPhone SE 2. So when you make a new purchase in the box, your smartphone probably charge the adapter and headphones will take place.
Apparently, France does not care about Apple's decision to prevent environmental pollution. Under the legal rules of France, smartphones must have a 'hands-free kit' or 'headset' to prevent exposure to radiation by children under the age of fourteen and other public.
This decision by the French government is made to prevent children from being exposed to long-term radiation on smartphones. Also, according to the same laws, the user manual included in the box should recommend that people use the hands-free kit. Otherwise, the company faces various types of fines.
"Any object containing radio equipment cannot be distributed for a fee or free of charge without a wired, rugged and reliable headset. User manuals and packaging for mobile phone devices must contain clear and visible information that suggests the use of wired headphones."
Fear of the effects of radiation has impacted smartphone use in France in different ways. As a matter of fact, protests against 5G took place in various cities of the country, and some officials called for 5G to be delayed due to concerns.
