If you are good with formulas, spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets can be powerful tools, but it may take time to fully learn inside and outside of these applications. If you know a little about Spreadsheets, two new features from Google that can save time working on the project can get you used to the program. Here are the new features added to Google Sheets
Google Spreadsheets , one of the best free alternatives to Microsoft Excel , has gained two new features . The first is Smart Fill, which is similar to Google's Smart Typing function in Gmail and Docs . Smart Fill attempts to automatically complete that part of the document when it detects its usage. You can see how the feature is used below.
The nice thing about the Smart Fill feature is that instead of adding data without user input, it creates a formula and allows you to change the suggestion. It's a nice feature that lets you learn how formulas work in Sheets.
Another new feature that comes to the application is Smart Cleanup . As you can guess from its name, Smart Clean detects renewed lines and other formatting issues and suggests a fix.
While Google uses machine learning to make Sheets easier to use, this is not the first time. The company added natural language recognition to the application's Explore tool in 2017. On the other hand, you will have to wait a bit to use the new features added to the application; Google plans to release the two features it added later this year.
