General Motors said in a statement that  it would restart production in China, which is dealing with the Corona  virus outbreak that killed more than 900 people  .

Automakers in China stopped production for the Lunar New Year holidays in late January.

The GM  spokesperson will say that the U.S. automaker will progressively start production between local partners and facilities for the next two weeks. He said the plan would be ready for the supply chain and product inventory needs.

General Motors Prepared for Corona Virus

General  Motors  spokesperson said in a statement; He added that GM , which  sold 3.09 million cars in China last year, is  carrying out unexpected state plans to alleviate the effect of the Corona  virus  .

It has  a Shanghai-based joint venture with SAIC Motor Corp ,  where GM,  Buick ,  Chevrolet  and  Cadillac vehicle brands are made  in China , the world's largest car market  . It also has  another initiative based in Liuzhou   with SAIC  and  Guangxi Automobile Group  . 

We  shared  the news  that Honda  and  Toyota companies, another major automaker, have suspended their production in China due to the Corona Virus epidemic  .  After the announcement by GM officials,   it is a question of whether Toyota  and  Honda will continue their production.
