Browser extensions allow you to take advantage of an already powerful application (browser) and add more features on top of them. It has a disadvantage such as security risks for users. A browser extension can access your information, just like any other application you have installed on your computer. For this reason, Google Chrome does not allow extensions to run in incognito mode by default.
Google Chrome's harsh attitude to not allow extensions to run in incognito mode relates to the reality that a private browsing mode is required, where none of your incognito activities are recorded by the browser. Nevertheless, Google Chrome leaves it entirely up to users to decide if extensions can run in incognito mode. It is not impossible to run extensions in incognito mode in Google Chrome . This option is built in. You can choose which extension you want to work in incognito mode.
You know that extensions are installed by profile. If you have decided on which profile the extension will work, open that profile. After clicking the more options button on the top right of your browser, follow the "Other Tools> Extensions" path from the menu .
On the page with Google Chrome extensions, find the extension you want to use in incognito mode and click on the "Details" button just below the app .
Enable the "Allow in incognito" option in the details page of the extension . The extension you want to activate in incognito mode will now be available in incognito mode.
You can also view the permissions, size, description used by the extension on this page. If you want the extension to be removed from your browser, you can click on the “Remove extension” text at the bottom. If the extension is already active, you can enable the extension to be de-active by clicking the button next to the word "Open" at the top of the page .
Note that some extensions may not work properly, as there are limitations in incognito mode. If the browsing history is required for the extension to work, it will most likely not work. It is allowed to run in stealth mode but cannot force any action on your browser history.
You need to be very careful when you enable extensions to run in incognito mode. Extensions do not distinguish between normal and incognito mode when storing data. If you only need to use it in stealth mode for a short time, disable the extension again when you're done.
