Huawei Confused Minds with Diagonal Design Rear Camera Patent

HomepageArticlesHuawei Confused Minds with Diagonal Design Rea...

Huawei is writing the camera design over and over again. According to the leaked images, Huawei received a diagonal rear camera patent and an under-screen selfie camera patent.

The Chinese manufacturer Huawei cross rear camera patent points to  a different Huawei design . Huawei, which places four cameras (or 4 cameras 1 LED flash) on the back of the device in the patent, uses a sub-screen selfie camera on the front.

Huawei filed a patent application with China's National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) in October last year. According to Letsgodigital, while the Huawei diagonal rear camera patent   published on September 18 emphasizes four cameras, the selfie camera is not visible on the front.

The front of the smartphone shows that Huawei may prefer an under-screen selfie camera, as it is fully screen and does not have a pop-up camera sign . The back of the patented device is equipped with a cross-shaped camera module containing four sensors and a LED flash.

Huawei camera design from scratch: four cameras, one LED flash and periscope zoom

The square shape of the bottom sensor of the device in the patent indicates it will be a periscope-style zoom, while there is an LED flash in the middle of the camera setup. On the top, left and right sides, there are three iterations of the same design as the main camera module.

Since this is only in a design patent, there is no guarantee the company will use it for any of its upcoming smartphones. In fact, the Chinese manufacturer will not release the Mate 40 series with this design. According to the leaks, three smartphones in the Mate 40 series will come with selfie cameras embedded in the screen.
