Meet Microsoft's Foldable Android Phone

HomepageArticlesMeet Microsoft's Foldable Android Phone

The Android-based dual-screen Microsoft Surface Duo was expected to arrive in the summer of this year, but the goals of the software giant mark an earlier date. Here is Surface Duo, Microsoft's first Android device with all the known details .

A recent report shows that the Surface Duo can be announced in the spring with Surface Go 2 and Surface Book 3, and sales will begin in the summer. This timing seems quite logical, especially when looking at the characteristics of the Surface Duo.

While the Surface Duo  is expected to come with a Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, the biggest drawback is that it won't offer 5G support. 5G support, which has gained great importance in the mobile market since last year, has become a trump card used by Samsung especially on the Android front.

Will Not Be Included In Microsoft 5G Game

Samsung launched its first 5G phone last year, and since then few companies have followed this step. Apple is expected to host 5G on their new iPhone. That's why Microsoft is thought to want to release the Surface Duo in the summer to prevent it from being compared to new iPhones.

The Surface Duo will be produced in limited numbers at first, which will likely lead to only developers and enthusiasts to purchase. Although pricing and availability information are not currently available, it is possible to say that the US software giant is exciting users.
