Millions of Computers Are in Danger!

HomepageArticlesMillions of Computers Are in Danger!

Critical vulnerabilities have been discovered on computers with Windows and Linux systems. According to Eclypsium researchers, millions of computers leave doors open to information theft, but there is a greater danger waiting for users.

Users use antivirus programs to protect data on their computers, but recent research suggests that this is not enough. Eclypsium's software research team draws attention to hidden threats that even antivirus programs cannot detect. Research investigating computers with Windows and Linux operating systems has discovered many harmful software on the hardware of major computer manufacturers such as Dell, HP, Lenovo . The interesting thing is that the source of the software is not clear. In other words, it is uncertain to whom the data of computer users go and for what purpose.

According to the researchers' claims, computer manufacturers do not take adequate measures against malware vulnerabilities. The manufacturers, who wait a long time to close the software deficits, leave the users alone with great danger during this time. So, what should we do as an end user at this point?

Rick Altherr, chief engineer of Eclypsium, says there is no tool that can be used to avoid the dangers of unknown software, but there are a number of measures ( such as virus scanning, software update ), but these measures will not provide protection. According to Altherr, the target of such attacks is the users who work in big companies rather than the end users.
