As of today, Mozilla Firefox 74 was released simultaneously on PC, Linux and Mac platforms. In the new version, while it is easier to transfer profiles from different browsers, it was said that improvements were made in the site loading speeds with small details.

Approximately a month ago, Mozilla had released the beta version of Mozilla Firefox 74 on its servers . Trying the changes made on the browser, Mozilla has uploaded the new version to its servers as of today and presented it to the users.

Although the new version has begun to be delivered to users, Mozilla has not yet officially announced its changes. However, as we know from previous versions, the company is likely to strengthen changes in the beta version.

Changes to Mozilla Firefox 74 version

The first change in the new version was on the new Chromium-based Edge , recently released by Microsoft . Mozilla said that in the new version, Edge profiles can now be easily moved over to Firefox . Another innovation was that the New Container Tab option can now be opened by right-clicking the new tab drop. Other details are listed as follows.

  • On Windows, Ctrl + I can now be used to open the Page Information window instead of opening the Bookmarks sidebar. Ctrl + B still opens the Bookmarks sidebar.
  • DNS over HTTPS (via Cloudflare servers) will start rolling out and will be the default for users in the U.S. For an alternative DNS service, users can choose NextDNS from the Network Settings dialog in Preferences.
  • TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 are disabled. It will not be possible to install sites that do not support TLS 1.2.
