Nearly Half of 5G Phones Sold in China in 2019

According to the report published by Counterpoint Research China , a global research firm specializing in mobile and technology products, 48% of 5G phone sales worldwide took place in China in 2019 .

According to the report,  Huawei has a 74% market share of 5G phones in China, including its sub-brand HONOR . Samsung ranks first in the 5G phone market worldwide, with a sales rate of 40%.

5G as well as phone sales ratio report also  smart phone sales decreased by 8% compared to the 2018 report it says.

Huawei and Honor Become the Only Growing Firm

In 2019, Huawei was announced as the only company in China with a 28% increase in sales growth. It is stated that this figure includes Honor, the subsidiary of Huawei. Contrary to expectations, Apple firm experienced a 26% decrease in sales. Another company with a drop in sales is Xiaomi .

Counterpoint stated in its report that the decline in the Chinese market was due to the Corona virus epidemic, while they expect to experience more intense effects due to the virus outbreak in the coming months.
