While Microsoft is preparing the stable version of Windows 11, on the other hand, it is preparing for the new Office. Accordingly, under the Microsoft Insider beta program, new Microsoft Office features began to emerge.
Windows 11, which has been introduced recently but has not yet been released in stable version, will also come with a new Microsoft Office. A few weeks ago we saw the new interfaces of this new Office version. Office, which has become compatible with Windows 11, is now getting new features.
Microsoft Office for Windows 11 and its new features
In order to experience these new features, you need to be a member of the Microsoft Office Insider program. The company has released a new beta preview build, 14326.20004, for Office Insider users.
With this new version, besides the appearance, new features appeared, especially on the Excel side.
Excel and its new features:
– New Excel navigation pane or Navigation Pane
Excel comes with a new feature to make complex spreadsheets more understandable. The Navigation Pane, or Navigation Pane, provides summaries of particularly complex Excel spreadsheets.
To try this new feature, you need to select the Navigation Button over the View option. Microsoft recommends using complex Excel spreadsheets to try the feature.
– Scroll feature for large Excel cells
The large cells we create in Excel tables are not always useful. For large cells where it is difficult to type text or scroll, Microsoft has introduced a new feature.
It is very difficult to enlarge or scroll these cells after creating the table in Excel. In the new Microsoft Office features, the text or numbers in the cell can be scrolled without extending to the sides or down.
– Fixes for Excel
With this new version, XML errors that Office Insiders users encountered before were also fixed. The problem of scrolling to the top of the table caused by the touchpad scrolling has also been fixed with this new update.
Outlook and its new features
– Outlook search improvements
Outlook, which allows you to control your e-mail accounts from a single place, comes up with new features as well as a new look. Now, when you search in Outlook, the application will offer you the most appropriate results in the form of suggestions. Thus, searches made within Outlook will become both faster and easier.
– Fixes for Outlook
Fixed an important issue in Outlook for alias mail forwarding. Forwarding mails made in this issue looked different from the original. Microsoft has also brought a solution to this problem with the new update.
In the submissions made for the meeting request, the meeting copy links sent to the meeting managers were also mistakenly directed to the people who will attend the meeting. Fixed the issue where these links sent for pre-meeting testing were sent to other members.
– Fixes for Word
With this new update for Microsoft Office, Word did not gain a new feature. However, Microsoft fixed some issues that emerged. Accordingly, the problem of not showing the cursor at the end of a page has been resolved with the new update.
The problem of Word not responding after the Contents field update when the track changes feature was turned on has also disappeared. Again, Microsoft made minor fixes for PowerPoint, Project and Office Suite.
Microsoft previously announced that it will also have a 64-bit ARM version for Windows 11. Microsoft Office also has a 64-bit Arm Windows version.
Those who want to test 64-bit Office on an Arm Windows machine will need to be running Windows 11 Insider Preview in addition to being in the Office Insider program. In addition, users will need to uninstall any 32-bit Office versions they may have installed before reinstalling Office and updating to the beta version.
