PS4 update 8.0 was released by Sony, one of the indispensable names of the game industry. In addition to some changes made to the group and messages in the PlayStation 4 system software update, a number of features have been introduced to the game console that will greatly improve the user experience . Here  are all the details on PS4 System Software Update 8.0 !

What Does PS4 System Software Update 8.0 Offer?

The system software update that gamers have been waiting for for a long time has finally been released. With the new update, PlayStation 4 users gained additional features as well as certain changes. System-wide improvements include some important security-related improvements. Notes of the update brought to the PlayStation 4 console by Sony are as follows:

1. Changes Made to the Group and Messages

• With the PS4 system software update 8.0 , PlayStation 4 users now have the opportunity to create a new club or choose an existing one when starting a group.

• Clubs can now be used in groups and messages. With the new update, a message can be sent to the club created for the group and a special group can be established with the club.

• In clubs consisting of 3 or more members, the club founder can now appoint members from the club.

• Club name or image can no longer be changed in clubs where there is only one person or where club founder is owned by someone else. Club members can only view other members' names and images.

• Message support for group calls has also been added. Group members' messages can be viewed when the Messages option is enabled.

• Public / private options for groups have been removed.

• Accessing group options has now become much simpler. Options related to group settings are now in the section where the groups are displayed.

• Group members can now see that the microphone has been muted.

• Users can now join groups with blocked members. When joining the group with a blocked member, you now receive an informative message that a blocked member is included.

• The voice of the blocked user is not transmitted to the blocked person, nor is the voice of the blocker transmitted to the blocked person. Neither is the blocked member notified of being blocked.

2. Innovations at Trophy Levels

• Trophy level is a rating determined by the total number of trophies won. When the system software is updated, players are awarded a new rating calculated based on the trophies earned so far. The new trophy level also appears on PlayStation App, PlayStation Vita or My PlayStation.

• With authentication applications, a two-step authentication system can now be used. After signing in to PlayStation 4, a second verification step can be enabled to verify if app access has been granted.

3. Changes Regarding Parental Controls

• Combined "Contact Other Players" and "View Other Players Generated Content" options. The combined version of the two options became "Communication and User Generated Content". The settings of those who check the "Not Allowed" option for any of these settings are transferred in the same way after the update.

• Even if the "Communication and User Generated Content" option is set to "Not Allowed", the in-game communication feature is only available for certain games allowed by the family manager or parent.

4.Other Changes Made by PS4 System Software Update 8.0

• "Mute All Microphones" option has been added to "Sound / Devices" section. This setting will only mute microphones connected to PlayStation 4.
• The following changes have been made to use the Remote Play feature on mobile devices and computers: The screen design has been renewed, Android 5 and 6 support is no longer available, Windows 8.1 support is no longer available.

• The following changes have been made in "Settings> Account Management> Privacy Settings": "Trophies" and "Games" in the "Game / Media" section have been linked and their names merged into "Game History". "Online Status and Currently Playing Games" option has been added to the "Game / Media" section. The online status and who can view the played video game can be set in this section. Contents that can be restricted in the "Messages" section under "Personal Information / Messaging" have changed. You now have the possibility to limit who can invite you to groups and add you to clubs. The "Mobile Availability" option has been removed from the "Personal Information / Messaging" section.

• The following changes have been made to "Communities": When you create a new community, you can no longer use the "On Demand Only" option to limit the members who can join. If an existing community is set to "Everyone", you cannot bring it to "On Demand Only". Cannot create groups anymore in the community section. To create a group, first you need to create a club in the "Group" section. You cannot create a new activity in the "Events" section. Events created before the update will still be kept, and events and tournaments organized by game developers will continue to take place.
