In line with this decision, the production of Pepper, the company's humanoid robot, will also be stopped. SoftBank's robotics unit is headquartered in France. According to Reuters, SoftBank will part ways with its 330 employees in France. The shrinkage in France is expected to take place in September.
According to sources close to the company, Pepper's production was actually stopped last year and it is quite costly to restart. For this reason, it was decided to stop production altogether.
