Applications continue for the "Vertical Landing Rocket Competition", which is organized for the first time in the world and within the scope of TEKNOFEST, the festival of records.
The Competition is organized by TUBITAK SAGE, which aims to enable students who are studying at undergraduate and graduate level to learn about "Rocket Effective Landing Systems", which is on the technological progress roadmap of our country in the next 10 years, and to provide young people with the ability to design as a team with members who have knowledge and experience in different disciplines. . In the competition, the teams are expected to adapt the rocket they will design with the air suspension system to be provided by the competition committee, and after the rocket is released, it is expected to land in a controlled manner using the cold gas propulsion system. Applications for the competition can be made until February 28.
Undergraduate and graduate students studying at home and abroad, as well as graduates, can participate in the competition, which was held for the first time this year within the scope of TEKNOFEST competitions. In the Vertical Landing Rocket Competition, where the teams participating in the competition will compete in Ankara between 22-26 August 2022, the first prize was determined as 40,000 TL, the second prize was 30,000 TL and the third prize was 25,000 TL. The winning teams in the competition will receive their awards at TEKNOFEST, which will be held at Samsun Çarşamba Airport between August 30 and September 4, 2022.
