Assoc. Dr. The new earphone for the hearing impaired , produced under the leadership of Leyla Türker Şener , allows the hearing impaired individuals to hear the sounds on their phones. The " Tetfit " headset, which can be connected to the phone via bluetooth, can be a beacon of hope for many disabled individuals.

"By providing the transmission of information through the cheekbone to the hearing center with vibration, the hearing impaired individuals who have lost their hearing ability completely or to a certain level due to the hearing problem in the eardrum and the ear canal give hope to hear the sounds on their phones and make phone calls"

With Tetfit, the hearing impaired will be able to talk on the phone

Stating that it works with bone conduction in the ear area and also by connecting to the phone via bluetooth 5.0, Assoc. Dr Şener says that sounds coming from both the outside and inside can be heard. According to Şener, individuals with hearing impairments will not miss ambulance and horn sounds while driving and will also be able to follow the navigation.

"People with damage to the ear canal and eardrum began to hear with our bone conduction headphones . A patient who had never heard came last week. We put on the headset. We witnessed that he heard the music for the first time. He did not know what the words he heard meant because he had not heard any sound before. Now with him. the related therapy process will begin. We will announce what he heard and then announce "

Does Tetfit headset pose an infection risk?

Stating that apart from all these features, there is no risk in terms of infection, Şener stated that the headset can be used all day long or at certain hours. It has external protection to prevent ear inflammation as a result of removing it from the ear and placing it anywhere.

"Since it does not block the ear canal, it does not cause any moistening and infection. By constantly putting the earpiece in the ear and leaving it on the table, you do not put the sources of infection in that environment into your ear."
