The intensive RAM usage of Android phones has not been fully resolved for years. However, it can be said that some manufacturers have prevented this situation with the software they have developed recently. While Vivo and OPPO are among the companies that use it, Xiaomi has now joined this group.
The memory expansion technology, which first came to the fore only with on-paper leaks, was officially launched by Xiaomi today. The company launched this feature, also called virtual RAM, with the MIUI 12.5 update on the Redmi Note 10 Pro.
Redmi Note 10 Pro is the first model to get the memory expansion feature
According to Xiaomi's official statement, Redmi Note 10 Pro, which was released in May, received a new MIUI 12.5 update that includes memory expansion technology up to 2 GB.
This update for Redmi Note 10 Pro allows users to expand RAM up to 2 GB, as mentioned above. Of course, it is also worth mentioning that the current storage of your device is used for this.
It is not known whether the memory expansion feature that Xiaomi launched with the Redmi Note 10 Pro will come for other smartphones. So there is no clear information about whether the company is bringing this to low-end phones or specifically to all of them. All the details will be revealed in the coming days.
