According to the new decision, no opposition can be made not only for the COVID-19 vaccine, but also for the vaccine of any disease. Moreover, people and channels that oppose vaccination will be directly deleted from the platform.
The world's most popular online video platform YouTube, with a decision it has taken, has almost declared a war against the vaccine. The platform, which has already removed the unfounded and anti-vaccine posts about COVID-19 vaccines during the pandemic period, announced that it will ban all videos and channels where anti-vaccination is made with a new decision.
According to the news in The Washington Post, the decision is not only about the COVID-19 vaccines. From now on, the platform, which also puts a stop to the anti-vaccine videos prepared for diseases such as measles or chickenpox, will no longer tolerate opposition to any vaccine.
Not only videos but also contacts will be blocked
The new decision taken by YouTube does not only include anti-vaccine videos. So much so that the names that are on the agenda and who are against the vaccine will also be blocked from the platform. In fact, according to The Washington Post, the existence of some names who are against vaccination in the USA on YouTube has been completely deleted.
We can safely say that the decision taken by YouTube is not surprising at all. Because a similar step has been taken from the Facebook group before, and some decisions have been taken to prevent anti-vaccination in the social media giant. Considering that YouTube provides 1 billion hours of daily content streaming, this decision seems like it should be.
