What is Certifying Authority?
An organization that securely determines the identity of individuals, prepares electronic identity documents and provides key management. The Certification Authority (OK), also known as the Certifying Authority (CA), is part of the Public Key Infrastructure and, together with the Registration Authority, controls the information obtained from the digital certificate client. When the Registrar validates the client's information, the Certification Authority provides the certificate.
